This is what I’ve been working on the past few weeks for my final motion graphic’s project; and it’s also a huge reason why my wrist and elbow are in such bad shape (tried to get a jump on it by doing all the illustrations over thanksgiving break - bad idea!). I wish I could have spent more time on the actual illustrations, but this was still a huge project as it was, haha!

Dirty thunderstorms
A dirty thunderstorm (also, Volcanic lightning) is a weather phenomenon that occurs when lightning is produced in a volcanic plume. A study in the journal Science indicated that electrical charges are generated when rock fragments, ash, and ice particles in a volcanic plume collide and produce static charges, just as ice particles collide in regular thunderstorms.
